Out with the old, in with the new! About time I renamed and redid my old blog: By American Apparel. I didn’t delete any of the old entries, just a new name for the blog (and a new URL). Go follow for more style/fashion related entries. Right now there is a lack of daily outfit posts because my digital camera is broken, and I have been too lazy to actually go develop any of the film I have. But trust me, the blog is up and running and soon will have lots of new content that the old one didn’t!

I don’t know how I didn’t see this before… but 1) my boyfriend is adorable. and 2) Stop harassing him! That’s my job!

Retribution Gospel Choir - Your Bird

One of my favorite bands is Low, and this is Alan Sparhawk’s other band. Usually if band’s have a side project, it is usually oddly similar to their original band-so it’s a bit refreshing to hear the obvious influences but to have something more gritty and noisy than the typical stuff by Low.

After numerous “I got screwed over” or “Wow that really sucks” moments in life, I adopted the 24 Hour Rule about a year ago. I let myself be mad for 24 hours, as mad as I want to be, sad as I want to be, and then after 24 hours, no more. Once it’s been 24 hours, I think “How can I make something good happen for myself now?” It puts me in a motivated/determined mood and most of all I don’t waste unnecessary time being unproductive because I’m upset.

Efterklang - The Soft Beating

I’m planning on seeing them on Wednesday night at Le Poisson Rouge. I’ve been listening to this album a lot for the last month, definitely one of my favorites right now. Enjoy!

I like the new Google Search page! I checked with some friends (via Twitter) and they don’t have this view yet, so I guess they’re slowly rolling it out. I must say, it’s not a drastic change visually but it does make them look a bit more Web 2.0, although not even close to actual Web 2.0 standards. I think that’s the beauty of Google search versus Yahoo/MSN search, it is high powered yet so simple looking!
